Parking

The University of Kansas has both parking garages and open air parking lots and stalls. Since the MCAA conference is being held while classes are in session, parking for those without a KU permit is restricted to parking garages on Friday, September 16th, before 5 p.m. For more information on parking options, please continue reading.

Mississippi Street Parking Garage

The Mississippi St. parking garage is located directly north of and is accessible from the Kansas Student Union. If you do not have a KU parking pass, this garage is the only option for on-campus parking before 5 p.m. on Friday, September 16th. 

The parking rate is $1.75 for the first hour and $1.50 for subsequent hours. You can use the on-site kiosks, or you can pre-pay for each day using the links in the sidebar. You will need your license plate number to pay for parking. Please note that you must pay for the use of parking garages 24/7. They are never free. 

Parking Lots

The majority of parking lots and stalls on campus are restricted to KU parking pass holders 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. There are no restrictions on open air parking after Friday at 5 p.m. and during weekends, with the exception of handicap and reserved parking stalls. Parking lots close to the Union include Lots 16, 53, and 91.
